To Applicant of Master or Doctoral course Student
We are researching to reduce the energy consumption and CO2 emission from architectures.
The research themes are
-Examination of effective usage of the fuel cell system
-Operation Optimization of air-conditioning system
-Developing the design method of air-conditioning system
-Examination about an architecture guiding people to energy conservation by behavior change
-and so on
Our main research methods are measurement and simulation. You need to study programming(Visual Basic/Python/Fortran/etc.) and data analysis(Excel/Access/etc.) in our lab.
We work on variety things for the achievement of the sustainable society and world.
If you have any interest, please read followings.
To study in my laboratory,
-I require you to have 80 points of TOEFL ibt score or 730 points of TOEIC score if you write master's or doctoral thesis in English.
-I require you to have N1 level of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test if you write master's or doctoral thesis in Japanese.
-I require you to study Japanese for daily easy conversation for communication with other students even if you enter in our international course.
-I require you to become a research student for at least a half year before entering master's or doctoral course.
-These are the required conditions of the Sumiyoshi laboratory, and not entrance criterions of the university.
-You have a chanse to become the master course student from April (Once a year).
-You have a chanse to become the doctoral course student from April and October (Twice a year).
-You have a chanse to become the research student from April and October (Twice a year).
-If you want to become a research student from October, please apply in March.
-If you want to become a research student from April, please apply in September of the previous year.
-Only one or two students can be accepted in one year. Not everyone can be accepted.

当研究室は省エネルギー・省CO2に建築分野から取り組む研究室です。
主な研究テーマは
-建築空調設備のコミッショニングに関する研究
-都市環境負荷の長期予測と都市のエネルギー計画
-行動変容を促進する省エネ誘導型建築に関する研究 など
実測調査とシミュレーションが中心的な研究手法です。研究室ではプログラミング(Visual Basic/Python/Fortran/など)とデータ解析(Excel/Access/etc.)を学ぶ必要があります。
持続型社会の構築のために様々な研究に取り組んでいます。持続型社会の実現に向けて一緒に研究しましょう。
私の研究室への留学を希望される方は、以下の内容を一読の上、ご連絡下さい。
-英語で修士(博士)論文を書く場合、TOEICで730点相当(TOEFL ibt 80点相当)を受入の目安としています。
-日本語で修士(博士)論文を書く場合、TOEIC600点相当に加えて日本語検定N1の合格を受入の目安としています。
-国際コースに入学し英語のみで卒業する場合でも、他の学生とのコミュニケーションのため、日常会話程度の簡単な日本語は勉強して下さい。
-修士課程または博士課程の正課の学生になる前に少なくとも半年間は研究生になって下さい。
-なおこれらは住吉研究室の受入条件であり、大学の入学判定基準ではありません。
-修士課程に入学できるのは年に1回、4月のみです。
-博士課程に入学できるのは年に2回、4月と10月です。
-研究生になれるのは年に2回、4月と10月です。
-10月から研究生になりたい方は、3月に連絡を下さい。
-4月から研究生になりたい方は、前年の9月に連絡を下さい。
-なお、受け入れることができるのは1年に1,2名です。全員を受け入れられるわけではありません。
